My educational record has been a roadmap with many exceptions. I started as an MBO student in Spatial Design and continued as an HBO student in Product Design. I was always fascinated by design and how things are made. After my propaedeutic year, I decided to take the leap and start at TU Delft. In October 2014, I completed my master’s degree in Integrated Product Design. I applied for the Marina van Damme scholarship to expand my knowledge related to business development. I got the opportunity to take over the company where I have been working for the past seven years.
In 2021, I applied for the scholarship with the plan to start an HBO MBA program. However, after winning the scholarship, I chose to apply for the EMBA program at Maastricht University/MSM. To get the necessary finances, I also applied for a European Scholarship and the MSM Women Ambassador Scholarship. Just before the start of my EMBA journey, I received the European Scholarship and won the Women Ambassador Scholarship. In October 2021, I began the 2.5-year EMBA program.
In the meantime, my husband and I decided to emigrate with our family to Curaçao, where I currently work as General Manager at the Aloe Vera Farm. We cultivate, harvest, and process Aloe Vera into cosmetics and supplements. In addition, I am also still involved as a commissioner in the company I wanted to take over before we decided to emigrate.
