What is the Marina van Damme grant?

The Marina van Damme grant is awarded annually to talented female alumnae who have graduated and/or obtained their doctorate from the members of the 4.TU Federation: Delft University of Technology, Eindhoven University of Technology, University of Twente or Wageningen University and Research. The grant amounts to € 9,000 and is made possible financially by Dr. ir. Marina van Damme.

Marina van Damme graduated from TU Delft in 1953 as a chemical engineer and in 1965 she was the first engineer to obtain her doctorate from the University of Twente. With this grant, Marina van Damme wants to enable female engineers to develop further and thus increase their chances on the labor market. The grant is intended for broadening knowledge or an orientation in the form of a study, internship or project in the Netherlands or abroad.
