About Gesine

To be able to permanently change structures and ways of working, I need to understand how a company is managed and how I can influence decision-making and problem-solving. Therefore, I decided that an MBA at TIAS with a focus on Agri and Innovation would be a good choice, as they incorporate the societal aspect.

I have been working at Kerry for 10 years, and it was time for some mental external stimulation. Most of the internal management courses weren’t deep enough to provide the level of knowledge I was seeking.

I applied for the Marina van Damme scholarship to receive support for tuition fees, and later realized that it was also connected to a fantastic network.

After living abroad for 12 years, I decided to return to Germany in September 2023 and started renovating parts of my family home. All my active cash flow and savings are currently being used to renovate my great-grandmother’s apartment with sustainable building materials.

In the future, I want to bring purpose and meaning back to the food industry. Although efficiency and margins are the driving forces, I would like to leave a footprint that aligns with resource protection and strengthening sustainable business solutions while watching a company grow and thrive.

Maybe I’ll even consider a career switch and turn my back on corporate life to work in a start-up environment in the future.
