About Shira

As an alumna of the university of Twente, I did not decide to do a beta-study. However, I did consciously choose to go to a university with mainly technical educations. I think we need all flavours to be successful in the transitions we are standing before: energy, healthcare, housing, circularity, et cetera. We need the beta’s as we do other disciplines, we need women as we do men, we need technical solutions as we need collaboration to let the solutions and innovations work.
Next to my company “dat wat je zegt“, I work as a freelance project leader at LLO Katalysator, where I guide higher education organizations in obtaining funds for their life long learning programs. I do this with a group of enthusiastic colleagues in a young organisation.
I applied for this grant because I want to deepen my leadership skills, to be a leader in these transformational times. Because we need more feminine quality in leadership right now, more focus on collaboration, and less on power. I hope I will gain more insight and skills through the education the grant allows me to follow.
